A new extraordinary bocconcino, which combines the goodness of fresh cream and chocolate with the sophisticated flavour of white summer truffle honey, has been created thanks to the collaboration between Dai Dai and Salvini Tartufi. Here you can read the story of this new exciting project and its launch at Taste 2016.
DAI DAI AND SAVINI TARTUFI: TUSCAN EXCELLENCIES MEET
We love to meet and collaborate with others who, like us, work hard every day to create gastronomic products of excellence. The Savini family truffle business dates back to the 1920s and is based in the San Miniato area, in the province of Pisa. Since our first informal chat, we immediately clicked with Cristiano Savini, because we share the same views and ideas: maintain excellent quality levels at all times, reach and be recognised for our merits on international markets, believe in the values of tradition and artisanal production, preserve the deep connection with the Tuscan territory.
This is how our collaboration began; over time we came up with the idea of creating a product that could bring together the best of Dai Dai and Savini. We started working on different recipes, in search of the perfect balance of flavours: we first experimented with flakes of black truffle, then with truffle flavoured olive oil. Neither of the two combinations truly convinced us, until we got the right intuition: a bocconcino with white summer truffle flavoured honey. A sophisticated aromatic combination that conquers all senses.
The truffle bocconcino was launched in March, in occasion of Taste 2016: a prestigious event attended by more than three hundred exhibitors and thousands of visitors, enthusiasts and professionals who meet and share ideas, at the beautiful Stazione Leopolda in Florence. Savini Tartufi, attended the event as an exhibitor and presented the truffle bocconcino among its new products; we are very satisfied and proud of the enthusiastic reactions it received, which encourage us to invest our time, energies and creativity in new projects.
A big “thank you” to Savini Tartufi and a warm “welcome” to the new truffle bocconcino.
